Ok so basically I am the producer in a live gypsy dubstep act. We have been working hard on an albums worth of material and now it is finally finished so were starting to gig. Got a lot of bookings coming in. I've been messing around with several different ways of performing the stuff live, I'm very keen not to take the easy option and just DJ the stuff whilst the musicians play live, however I do want to try and keep it relatively simple.
Basically what I'm looking for is some advice on getting the best possible sound out of the tracks seeing as they wont be all exported and mastered. I will be just playing them out of the project. Some of it will be audio and some of it will still be vst instruments. So has anyone got any advice on good effects to have on the master or individual channels to keep them sounding on point?
