By default, the LFO only modulates the 4 osc's (a,b,c,d) NOT the filter.. You'd have to select that "FIL" in order for the LFO to modulate the filter..

Thanks -- yeah, I've been pressing that little "FIL" button, but no luck.
But after asking my silly question, I opened a new Live set and ran Operator with one operator set to a saw wave and tried modulating the filter on that. Works fine.
So my problem is not that the lfo does not modulate the filter in Operator. The problem is that the timbre I'm using for a minimal percussion patch does not *seem* to be being modulated by the filter.
There lies the difference.
So the filter works fine. The problem is that I don't know how to use it the way I want to....yet.
