A little confused by this one. Some patches that I open up in Operator seem to have the LFO disabled, or at least strongly dimmed. For example "Lead-Distolead" in the Synth Leads folder in Ableton 8, for some reason I can't get the LFO to do much. I tried routing it to the Filter (which I switched to 24db LP to make sure I could hear it) and routing it to the main audible Oscillator (A) but I can't hear anything going on. I switched the LFO to a low frequency sine, checked to make sure it was at 100% on Dest. A ...full 100% on the Amount knob.
I've found a few patches like this, where I drop in a preset and go in to start tweaking but I just can't get something to work. Is there a secondary level of toggling somewhere that I'm missing? Like maybe individual LFO modulation values for each Oscillator and the Filter, or something in the routing display? No matter what I tweak I can't get the LFO to route to anything noticeably.

Re: LFO in Operator Not Working on Some Patches?
Anyone else seeing this?
Re: LFO in Operator Not Modulating the Filter in Live 7.0.16
I'm not able to get the LFO in Operator to modulate the filter in Live 7.0.16. I've had this problem both on my MacBook (Rev. 3,2 cir. 2007, 2GHz, 4GB RAM) and now on Windows XP.
Is this common, or just my bad luck?

Hi,
Highlight the global parameters page (the section with the master volume). Look for the routing - Aftertouch LFOA 100%. Change this to zero and the lfo will now work for you. You will get the best results form this page by setting the lfo to modulate osc B (remember to change the LFO to low).
Thanks
Keith
