control surface limitations ?

Post by jamief » Sat Mar 06, 2010 6:21 pm

Within the preferences are we limited to only 6 possible control surfaces at one time ?
i have just put in a 24 ch flying fadermixing desk with transport controllers ( just the same as an anolog desk with mute solo fx send but all physical :D ) that uses up 4 of them and i have a launchpad as well so thats five used up. I was hoping to add a few more but it looks like this isnt possible ? Or is it ? :)

So i,m hoping someone can chime in hear.
I have another launchpad ( 2 in total) on the way this week which i can incorporate into lives control surface's with the spare slot you see in the picture above.
So fine.
But.
Am i now unable to add any other control surfaces ? For example if i would have liked to add another launchpad would it be of next to no use as i could not get it to interact with live as a normal launchpad would as i can't set it as a control surface ?

To boil it down - is live limited to six control surafces ?

best
J :)
