Why would something which taximouse or dum wrote apply to Headrick ?

Seriously: I've read all his 4 posts in this thread, he did comment on the video which a Mac uses in there but why should that make me assume he's using a Mac himself?
(

my ears are burning....So I am sure you guys can tell that I've got the interent at my finger tips at the moment and am not afraid to speak my mind

I personally am not having the problems that I had for the last year of my life anymore as a result that I've made some changes (to my setup) In fact unless I'm running 12 (only komplete 6) or more vst with loops and effects sends and rewire I don't have problems except clipping which I am guessing is the computer's lack of ability to use the 8 GB of RAM I went from mac to pc (laptop sony 2.8, win 7 64, 8 gb, 500 gb space) which helped (no don't start a OS war jsu letting ya know). Also upgrades my desktop from vista 64 to 7 64.

I was so worried when I bought the laptop that I was going to be screwed on hardware (apc 40, launchp, korg nano pieces, mpk25, lp8, lpk25 and so on) and software (tools, record/reason, komplete 6, scrach, traktor, BUT NOT SONAR)for at least a year to 6 months. So far everything excpet my axiom pro 49 is up and running on the laptop, and pro tools (which I am gettting a code 7 error) JUST PUT OUT 64 BIT BETA FOR 7 (COME ON ABLETON).

The reason that I am so vocal at this point as I truly feel that it is an injustice at this point what is going on to so many people that is all. Caveat emptor (buyer beware) so I do blame myself and we all got taken for suckers. As the populatiry grows for any product the quality usually goes down.

And yes I am sure that because the product is so easy to crack and use pirated copies (which I've even seen jack asses who call themselves PRO's rock cracked software and brag about it....bad form) that it has effected profitability. Solution for that I don't know. I will not lie that I am still very unhappy about the way the company behaves that I enjoyed so much(just like TOYOTA cause I've got a tacoma and yes I'm a yank with a truck). I've told many folks who had never heard of ableton to go download and check it out, but how can I do that now.

AT least those of use who bought 8 off the shelf in the start should get free upgrade to NINE (but I am not sure if that will not make other mad)

For those of you who think I am an ass I don't know how this can offend you. All some folks are trying to do is be heard and respected. To get mad at us for not wanting to help fix bugs after all the problems we've had with no incentives...well those are culutral differences i might think. I am a selfless person but not a sucker.

This ends my bitching until I see how the stable the BRIDGE to heaven will be.....Lots of conern from serato users (HENCE the intense beta testing) but also hopeful that things will work well....The Winter NAMM crash did not instill faith but, but maybe the bridge will convert us all back to believers
In a K induced Haze (the old K kind not the special K kind ), but an Asian spizz can sometimes bring me out! If ya don't get it, ya never will.

2. I spend hours trying to fix it with no luck.
3. I email and send a report to Ableton.
4. They offer little in the way of help and basically tell me it's my problem.

THAT is the NORM at the moment. Not the exception, but the rule. And that is fucking frustrating as hell."
this is my experience, too. i went through over a month of emails with support for 8.1.1 crash issues before they told me that there is a one line 'options.txt' fix for my major issue (certain au's crashing live) that had been announced 5 weeks earlier. fail.
tw1nstates wrote:That was exactly what I found, different Au's / Vstis crashing ableton, dagging stuff from the browser, freezing stuff etc. Narrowed it down to the ram usage as Onisphere seemed to be giving me the most problems, their tech supprt said that it was due to system ram. Lowered the system ram usage by bouncing and flattening and presto, stable live. You need to be on the new beta though. It is pretty stable, I know there were some problems with loads of AU's if you go through the changelog post 8.1. . .
this is most likely the source of my crashes...most of them coming from sets with piles of omnisphere and eastwest play instances. if someone at the other end of [email protected] had just told me this might be an issue, it would have saved me days and days of lost time.

so how did this previously awesome company fall apart so quickly? oh how the mighty have fallen. (when i first heard the bitwig news, there was a tiny spark of nervousness in the back of my mind. maybe it was right?)
That's odd that they didn't suggest this as a fix.

i reported it in the Beta bugs forum at the start of January so it's a known issue. Don't know whether you would call it a bug per-se but it's definitely a working issue.

I suggested to them and have donbe numerous times that the MAKE A STICKY and stick it at the top of the forum. Might save a few people a lot of time. . .
I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

tell me about. my emails to 'support' were being treated strictly as bug reports and no effort was made to actually 'support', even if it would've been in the form of short term workarounds for known bugs. that is the point where i hit the end of my rope... i still run into various bugs and issues that should be reported, but after doing so for an entire year and seeing zero results i've just given up. it seems insane that in the midst of these technical problems, they're simultaneously pissing away tons of customer loyalty. i'll be back on board if they can demonstrate with v8.1.2 (and whatever's next...8.5?) that they've really shaped up, but if not i'm jumping ship.

just had a session with b6... and a crash.. its indeed more unstable than b4 :-/

but was a crash loading while loading a song.. might be a new conflict with a plug..

going back to 7 appears to be more difficult as thaugt.. one of the features of L8 actually had a stronger impact on my work than i thought.. i almost constantly use the option to change the loop behaviour in beat warp...

so just raw sample transfer sounds very different in L7...

trying to get yourself in the running? jkjk

seriously though, alex.the.forge, we are on to you, and your software piracy!!!!!!!!!

the funny thing is that ayanami is probably the most likely person in this entire thread to be using cracked software

hey glitchrock and zalo, you don't know shit about me so don't ever fucking assume you do.

and if you think you do, we can gladly meet up and i will sort this out with you in person. i'll be in toronto this summer and will gladly make a visit to wherever the fuck you're at.

even though i was only half kidding, if you can't sense my sarcasm then you fucking morons are even dumber than i would initially give you credit for. whatever crash issues you collective geniuses are working out, all i can say is sucks for you, glad to see the internets finest is on top of the situation.

Is that even English?

It's excellent whatever it is.

I think I might have to use that as the title of a track.

brightened up my Monday no end!
