MIDI : I just dont get it

This one is straight for Ableton.

When attemtping to use my Korgs (hard synth) programs in Live's MIDI tracks . Wether I set the programs and banks from the synth or even in the MIDI clips view, the programs dont stick around for the next session!!!!

So lets say I have a song with 3 MIDI tracks and assign 1 different channel per track, and choose 3 different patches from Lives MIDI program and bank selector, the next day, the program assignments do show in LIve but dont play!
