I'm trying to work with the legato feature in Abe.
What I'd like to do is , if I'm playing Clip-A, and I switch to clip-B using legato at 1/16th note quant, I'd like the playback to return to Clip-A when I release the button. So it would just goto Clip-B for only as long as I held the button, and then bounce back to Clip-A. I'm finding that Ableton has no memory however and is only forward looking.
Can anyone brainstorm a method to do that?

Use the follow actions. It works like a charm for that
Macbook Pro Retina 2015, Live 9 Suite, Push, and a bunch of plug-ins I like
Re: Legato feature: Return to previous clip
I see what you mean, but its not quite the same. When I switch to the new clip, the new clip will only goto an exactly known other track with the follow actions. If I say, jumped to the new clip from somewhere way down the clip list, the follow action of the new clip will not be able to goto it because its not 'previous' or 'first' or 'any' or any of those options.moscom_musik wrote:Use the follow actions. Maybe I can write a max/msp patch todo it.
