MIDI MAPPING - changing song files with a footswitch???

Apologies if this has already been brought up.

I am using the Roland GFC-50 footpedal with MidiPipe and Ableton 8.1 on a Mac for to control clips in live performances.
I would like to be able to change the session/song file using a switch instead of having to constantly stare at the laptop and click away in between songs.

Can someone please explain how to do this? I can't put multiple songs in one session because the processing power is too great.

You could use something like Bome's Midi Translator.
