8-bit esque?

Post by Stigglits » Sun Mar 07, 2010 8:02 am

Heya. I've got a new track up. No lo-fi guitars or singing this time (which I'm sure most of you are glad to hear 8) ) Anyway, it's more electronic than some of my other stuff, so give it a look-see, tell me what you think!

Hey Stigg. I hear ya! You have been banned from singing on this forum. Kidding of course. Very different and I do envision some commercial value. Nice and easy tune but no melody. I also hear some kind of distortion somewhere especially when everything is playing at the same time so watch your levels. I enjoyed listening. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know if the distortion you're hearing is maybe the kick drum? It probably is because I put some effects on it to give it some white noise. But I also hear a little bit of distortion that happened near the end, but I think I like the way it turned out.

However, I'm not sure what you mean by it there being "no melody"? Because I think it's actually a VERY melodic song, like all of my songs. At least to my ears, they're more melodic than the experimental house and dubstep tracks that are posted on here.

Sounds pretty interesting. Do you consider putting your tracks on commercial basis?

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I've thought about it. I actually just finished working with a New Yorker friend of mine who needed an opening song for a talk show/webisode type deal, which I was really excited to work on. I'm in the process of copyrighting some of my songs.

Really nice track sir, and I was listening on lappy speakers so thats sayin something. For some reason, it def reminded me of seatlle (maybe because I was just there?) basically what I am saying is that it has a real nice definiteive feel to it, its immediately recognizable. excellen work

Well I'm from Seattle, so there you go. 8) I guess I absorbed that and channeled it into a song? Thanks for the nice comments. Be sure to check out the new song I just put up too! Sorta similar, but a lot heavier.
