Good news!
I upgraded to 10.2.8 and now I get the Digi 001 showing up everywhere its suppose to.
Now Im having trouble getting everything connected. If you dont mind id like to get some input on what you guys think the most efficient way to setup my equipment would be. Heres what im working with.
Ensoniq EPS 16+
Stereo Receiver (1 l & r output and 1
l & r output)
Mic Pre amp
2 Turntables & Vestax 2 Channel Mixer
Mac g4
Ableton Live
Digi 001 w/ PT LE
Im having trouble geting any sound from my speakers. I thought I knew what I was doing as far as the inputs and outputs go but I guess not. I only have one left and right input in my receiver and thats allowing my turntable to be audible so I dont know what to do.Thanks

Hi phil connors
You can now access the Digi001 in Live but no sound comes out of the Digi001 there? But when using ProTools you get sound from the Digi001?
regards,
Alex
Sorry, but I do not understand what you mean.I now hear everything when I open up Pro Tools except for Live. I tried using Rewire but I dont hear anything. Do I need to connect the sound output from the back of my G4 into an input in my Digi 001?

Hi phil connors,
ok,
1) Run Live standalone (not as ReWire slave to ProTools) and select the Digi001 in Live's Audio preferences.
2) Check if all desired channels of the Digi001 are activated in the "Input config" & "output config" dialog in Live's audio preferences.
3) Play an audio file
Do you see the green level meters in the track where the soundfile is played?
Do you see green level meters in the master track?
regards,
Alex

well MIDI tracks don't produce audio unless there is a virtual instrument to receive the MIDI data and trigger a sound engine.
in practice this means that your MIDI track should have a LIVE instrument (like Simpler, or impulse, or any third party VI) loaded onto the MIDI track, and set up so that there is a preset or a sound loaded into it. then you should see sound coming out.
Considering you have external MIDI hardware, you might already know all this and in that case my excuses... but I thought this might be useful...
good luck
