Cost of upgrading Live 8 to Suite 8

I'm going to purchase Live and would like to get the Suite. However, it's more money than I have right now. I can afford to get Live 8 right now and would be able to upgrade to the Suite in a couple months. Ableton's site doesn't show the upgrade prices to the suite, except for products you already have. Could someone who's a Live 8 user log into the online store and tell me how much in US dollars it would cost to upgrade to Suite 8, both the download and boxed versions? I want to see whether it's better, worse, or neutral financially to go to Live 8 now and Suite down the road.

I was in the same boat as you kanthos, I couldn't wait any longer. I bought Live 8 (boxed) a couple months back and plan to ugrade to Suite in a few months. I absolutely love Ableton, I wish I would have made the jump sooner. I'm actually glad I went the route of Live 8 (before Suite) because it is giving me an opportunity to focus on and digest the core functionality of Ableton first, while relying on familiar sound sources (my Triton, sample collection, etc) plus the packaged EIC. It's more than enough to keep me busy foreverrrr, so when I upgrade to Suite, it will be icing on the cake

Thanks! I wonder what the reason is for not having that available up front.

For the record, I've got a version of Live LE that was bundled with some M-Audio hardware, and it's a difference of $9 worse (download) or $11 better (boxed) for me to upgrade from Live 8 and then upgrade again later to the Suite. So basically, it's not a big issue either way.

I believe these amounts are prorated based on whether or not you already wn any components of the Suite.

Since I already bought Drum machines, That's why mines is a bit less than jibbs1234 (I think)

Prices in the online store are individualized, depending on whether the customer has purchased previous editions of Live and/or the Suite.
