External Instrument

Post by brother-james » Tue Mar 09, 2010 8:04 pm

Hi Guys...

There's a way to record audio into external instrument track or freeze/flatten it before the effect?

I think it's not useful if you need to route each time to an audio track to record it. And... why I need to switch off the external instrumetn each time to mute it?

Tnx

You cannot freeze and external inst. You could however record an ext inst directly to an audio track. An inst track merely provides a way to monitor the audio and create midi clips onto a single track. Recording a midi/ext inst onto an audio track is the way all DAWs work and you don't have to switch off the ext inst interface to mute it.....just use the mute button on the track.
