clip warping bug?

I'm guessing this has been covered so if it has please direct me to the thread...

When moving clips in 8.1.1, the warping often seems to get a mind of its own and the groove gets all messed up. Visually nothing changes, but the audio gets completely out of sync. The only way to fix it is to not save and reopen or find a copy of that clip and replace it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

really? this happens to me constantly. I'd be really surprised if nobody else is experiencing it

Me too. The sync goes out as long as you're warping, then comes back if i stop and press play again on the set. Supposedly something with delay compensation, or else.

there are so many issues wit 8.11 that people either stoped bothering about or moved to the betas..


problem with the betas is that you cant open files created in a beta with 8.11 or earlier versions than..

because the betas expire you are trapped than with the betas.. so you have to go with betas on stage..

because sometimes betas arrive late you might end with no running beta when your gig accidently is happening at the day of the arival of the new beta...

This especialy is a risk because the smart guys from ableton like to choose weekends for the end of betas.

The actual beta for example again ends on a friday,, in case the are again late as with the last beta .. the new one will be out friday night..

if you have a gig friday night..and no internet access... maybe try a stepddance performance than..



What makes the sitaution worse is that the betas are no constant progress..the actual on b6 for example is less stable for some users than b5 or b4.. i am one of the lucky guys that has crashes with b6 again..
