works great here. no win7 related problems.

oh one note, I had a really minor gfx bug in ableton due to the mouse pointer shadow. just disable it when you notice a problem. that's the only problem I noticed.

windows7 works great..
live(8) on the other hand is not so great..
I doubt it's a problem with the os though..
Mac heads have been having similiar issues...
it might also work pretty good on your setup... it's unpredictable..

I've been having trouble deciding on an asio soundcard that works in Windows 7. I've searched the forum and apparently Focusrite models work, but there have to be more options that that...

So that could be a problem. You should search to see if users are having trouble using your particular model of soundcard with Win7.

^ I think nebulae uses an RME and he was raving about Win 7 a couple of months ago...

Besides, at that price point the problems, which would have to be driver related, shouldn't last long.

H2Only,

Yes, you are probably right. Lots of complaints on the RME forum though...although it does look like from people using Win 7 bootcamped on macs...

Still, I guess I will be sitting on the fence for a while longer.

Well I'm sure that everyone would love to blame Microsoft for this... but in this case... I'd say its hardly their problem. You can't blame Nissan because their engine runs rough in your Peugeot.

So please can you guys tell me what you are finding is so different about win 7? It just looks like another GUI to me.......I know as a Windows user I'll upgrade at some point (maybe next machine) but am so reluctant to go through the reinstall process again (reinstalled xp last year).

Cheers

Are you upgrading to 7 I would just wait until they issue the next upgrade to 8.1.2 and that should solve the problems...
In a K induced Haze (the old K kind not the special K kind ), but an Asian spizz can sometimes bring me out! If ya don't get it, ya never will.

it's interface is very convenient...
and I find that it handles multiple tasks better as well..
although it's worth upgrading for the new taskbar alone..
I've been using it since the RC period...best windows os yet imo.
