crash on loading set - live 8

Post by kingrad » Thu Mar 11, 2010 10:38 am

Hi, I recently spent a long time finishing a track . Now when I try to open the set, live gets stuck trying to load the samples into the arrange page. It gets to about 17 samples loaded and then crashes.

I did manage to drag and drop the crash file from the browser but lose all the send effects and their automation which is a major part of the track.

Is there a solution to this? It actually happened to another set a few weeks ago also and possibly seems to occur after doing lots of automating the audio damage dr dub plug ...maybe?

the usual answers are to
- hide/delete/move your preferences.cfg file
- do the same with your VST folder
- close ALL your other applications, turn off the interweb connection, all that.

I wonder if you could copy your project folder under a new name, delete the tracks in it through the Live browser, THEN open it just to get to the send data. that might work, no samples to load. then save that off and drag the tracks back in, slowly, one at a time.
