Well, when I say 'flop' of course I'm talking in relative Apple terms. They'll sell em, that's for sure. But the numbers won't be anywhere near the iPhone's sales figures during it's first 6mon / 1yr. Not even close. Nevermind lack of Flash, it's still very much a head scratcher device for a lot of people. They won't see the value.

Right now the lack of Flash support has barely been reported in the media. You bet your sweet Irish ass that's going to change once these things start to ship and people's web experience is fucking SHIT.

but ya, early adopters are gonna be pissed if they're none-the-wiser about the lack of flash support. I guess though, the most popular flash based sites probably have iTouch/iPad friendly versions of their site ? like youtube ?

Apple has started the push to get people to rethink ubiquitous tech before (floppy drives, anyone?) and I think that's exactly what's going to happen here. Flash is pervasive, but it sucks. It'll take time, but I predict Flash is going down.
