Re: Sell your Max for Live license
So how did you guys go about the process. How did you receive the license? I want to make sure buyer is secured as well as myself when I sell.nebulae wrote:Just bought M4L from darjammar - Thanks a bunch for the sale and for making it painless. Hope this feedback is useful to you when you sell things in the future. Much much appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

I'm interested as well..
Re: Sell your Max for Live license
fairly painless, just requires some trust on both sides:scott nathaniel wrote:So how did you guys go about the process. How did you receive the license? 1. Seller emails Abes to request transfer. Provides his email and the buyer's under which live is registered. Both parties have to have 8.1 of course.
2. Abes transfer the registration and email both parties. Took us a day.
3. Buyer and Seller both hit the Authorize button. Live removes the m4l license fro
seller and authorizes buyer automagically.
4. The payment arrangements between buyer and seller are independent from Abes. If
you know/trust each other, you can pay first or pay after the transfer. If you don't know each other, maybe get $100 up front, do the transfer, and then get the balance? Just a suggestion.

Scott is selling.Poster wrote:any other sellers?

Scott, I can vouch for Poster. Not because he's honest (because he's not), but because I know where he lives.
I jest, of course. Go make a deal, kids!

Does the computer with license on it have to be connected to internet for de-authorization and transfer of license? I always do offline authorizations with my software because I don't allow my DAW comp internet access--Windowa, ya know!
Thanks for all the info,
Scott
Re: Sell your Max for Live license
No idea about offline. I simply connect for the authorizations and then disconnect. So long as I'm nit using IE, I have no issues with being online, but I do limit it.
I think when you use your offline authorization files, live should take care of removing the m4l license.

Re: Sell your Max for Live license
Got anything specific you are looking to do with M4L?

Re: Sell your Max for Live license
For starters, some newer better buffer shufflers, more controlled LFOs. That'll keep me going for a bit as I dig deeper. Eventually, I'm looking for Reaktor-like ensembles where I can do crazy grain sample stuff.beats me wrote:Got anything specific you are looking to do with M4L?
I don't have any fancy controllers yet, so I can wait on the controller integration for a while. I'm mainly looking for ways to be more musical in Live.
