My first doodles of 2010

Post by beats me » Sat Mar 13, 2010 2:17 am

Here's a CGI rendering I made of my dream girl.

But that's not what this thread is about. It's about music that's at least on par with my visual art skills. I thought I'd share 3 of the audio doodles I've been working on because it's Friday night and several of you might be just drunk enough to listen. They could be described as "rough" or "unfinished" and there's an obvious Mac vs. PC influence throughout.

Condolences will be delivered directly to my neighbors.

'waves' is nice and dreamy, I'll listen to it when I'm jerking off later

Wow, so my personal endeavors are translating through my music and inspiring others to do the same.

This is the first time I've considered chronic masturbaters as a viable target demographic.

I like the beat on 'waves' (btw not in your target demographic).

Also, quite the waffle on the lady.

Thanks fellas, and thanks Rave for the specific comments that I agree with. The songs are still rough.

Along with me lowering my standards as depicted with my dream girl, I'm also working on lowering my personal perfection standards with my own productions which quite honestly is more in my head than in practice. I never get things polished the exact way I want them, sometimes not even close, and then that just leads to not finishing or releasing anything. So if I can kill that switch then maybe I can release music that some people might enjoy on some level.

Should have put a donk on it - It suffers because of this

I cant wank unless there is a donk on every other off beat. I also agree it needs to be slower, i hardly had time to reach for the tissue. Otherwise a sound effort.

You always remind me of the lost art of glorious pads. Your sound makes me terribly envious of some of the shit you can cook up with it. Love it!

BTW, I'm likely dropping one of your songs in my set on Friday. Minus You Pads FTW!!

Lovely is fucking fantastic. Can I send you some gentle (but sexual) wah-wah guitar to put in it?

Thanks for the input guys. I'd test drive it myself but I think I would be too distracted by my own production holes to rub one out to completion. Would some classy female moans towards the end help move things along? And should the moans be on the donks or between the donks, or both?

@neb. I love pads but as we all know they are the musical calking that fills up shoddy production craftsmanship. Track sound kind of thin and like there's something missing? Fill it with a damn pad. Still, I love them so.

And I would love some wah-wah as well.
