lamer than lame and I have never been to a real studio (SSL-desk kind of REAL studio) that didn't have a Mac. HP my @$$

Not for long mate, macs have had their day, unless you're into flower arranging.
Core2 quad q660, 4gig ram, Win 7 home premium SP1.
P4 2.8 ghz, Gigabyte GA- 81E2004P, 1.5 gig ram,XP Home, SP3.
dual core pentium laptop 2 gig ram Win 8.
MOTU 8Pre,Tascam FW-1804,Zoom R16, Ableton live 8.4

This is the biggest joke I've ever seen. I'm sure it will still sell thousands, so you have to give them credit for marketing.... too bad marketing doesn't mean it will be a good audio computer.

There actually are people who believe different Hard-Drives and CD-R/DVD drives sound 'phatter' or 'better'.

John Vestman (who is a successful mastering engineer with some decent credits to his name) is one.

PC is winning the processor race again. They're about 500 miles ahead of Apple. For a long time now you can get the Dr Dre HP with the i5 or the i7:

Apple's laptop processors were frozen in time back in 2006.
