Apogee Mini Me - Any users out there?

My buddy is about 99% sure he is going to pick up a Mini Me for his main interface in his home studio.

Just wondering if there are any users out there who may have tips - or had any comments about its preformance.

My biggest question is how is it with latency

I used to have a Mini-me and the latency wasn't that bad. It was noticeable, but the direct software monitoring helped when I was recording external audio sources. I guess it would be different with softsynths, but it worked fine for me. I hope that helps a bit. the unit was great.
