setting up Live Lite 7 to play my KorgTriton sounds via MIDI

Post by kopec » Wed Mar 17, 2010 12:38 pm

Hi, I got this bass link written in MIDI notation and I'd like to play it through my Korg Triton classic sounds (bass sounds) and record. Or can someone suggest a built-in virtual instrument for playing bass in Live Lite 7? thank you very much!

Why not use Live's External Instrument plugin to play the Korg?

I'm sorry, I dont understand - I only know virtual instruments as plug-ins.
Anyway, I heard of this Guitar Rig - it's a plug-in for simulation of various amps and effects of guitars and bassguitars. Do you think it's possible to route MIDI to it with audio output and record it?
thanks for helping!

Look up External Instrument under Audio Effects in the Live manual. It allows you to route the MIDI to an external sound generator, such as your Korg, and then pipe the audio back into the Live track.
