Monitor MIDI

Post by Bebbo » Wed Mar 17, 2010 4:46 pm

Hello,
There is any way to monitor the midi messages in live?
For example I am sequencing a C3 with 100 of velocity, after applying some midi effects that are randomizing the values, how can i know what is the resultant note and velocity?
thanks

You are describing what is called a Midi event editor. Unfortunately, Live does not provide one in the base package.

one way to do this is to record the midi into another track and see what happens.

by base package he means Live doesn't have this. he might have meant that there's a midi monitor built into max4Live that can monitor these events.
