Will MacBook Pro 13" 2,26 be enough?

Post by Rabalder » Thu Mar 18, 2010 10:05 am

-triggering clips(Apc40) with no effects (max 8 clips simultaneously, wav files)
-ms.pinky with one deck
-One vocal track with tweakable effects (koreplayer + 3 or 4 ableton effects)
Audio interfacer = fireface uc

Will it do the jobb or do I need to go bigger??

still i would wait, i smell the i5 / i7 models around the corner, even if you want to go for the core2duo, the prices of those will immediately drop... if you grab then one fast from the sellout that usually happens when new models are around.

yeah, like a friend of mine bought the last model before the unibodies, just after the first unibody was around, they made it 400 euros cheaper and threw apple care in. great deal, he is still happy, well i am still happy with performance of my now nearly 5 year old 2.16ghz core2duo, just make sure to get loads of ram (definitely 4gb) and a the biggest HD. (but not from apple, though... it is to expensive)

I have exactly that model, upgraded to 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM it's a beast =D of course will be enough!!! however I recommend to wait for that rumor of the i5/i7 ... I'm ready to buy an iMac 27" but I'm waiting for an upgrade by Apple, maybe they lower the prices or increase the hardware =)
