bezier curves are a must for any daw, the are way much better that the actual sistem , its faster and smoother.
hahaha... you really think you can make "sound" whit bezier curver or bezier curves makes you soung phatt and big, right?

@romanh

I'm sure there are more than 5 or 6 users who would love to see this feature added. Did you not notice that this thread has gone on for 5 pages now? I'm sure that makes it somewhat relevant and somewhat in demand.

Editing, and drawing automation in Live is sloppy at the best of times and is far from efficient. I guess it depends how you work but for me it's a major letdown and something that stops me wanting to use the program.

Bezier curves have nothing to do with making a fat sound either, anyone who knows what they're for would know that. They're good for nice crescendos and filter sweeps however.

can someone please explain to me why 'bezier' curves are "a MUST have for every DAW". i put it to you you couldn't tell the difference between that and 5 or six well placed automation points.

faster , smoother , easier .

workfrlow = better , faster
smoother automation , nicer
easier , is more simple , you use less points to get more complex sweeps and other transitions.

i know what bezier curves are, and cubic bspline automation, and why they are preferable.
but you haven't told me why they are a "MUST have" for "ALL DAWS".
as though it's comparable to generating audio, or receiving midi data..
i still put it to you you couldn't tell the difference between a bspline and several well placed automation points..

There's quite a difference between drawing two points and editing the curve and drawing 5 or 6 points that fall off grid lines after I say to youself "It sounds close but not like a logarithmic curve". I'm well aware I can do that but I don't think it sounds the same.

I'm pretty sure I made a point about efficiency, I could have begun and finished editing another clip with those mouse clicks.

I'm glad it works for you though.

ok man , go ahead and place 10 points offgrid , while you could place 2 and you´d be done , and more efficiently.

but is ok , i prefer a faster workflow , you seem to like painting lots of points and wasting time.

you're saying it's a mere convenience.
not a "MUST have" for "ALL DAWS"
i know what you're saying,
do you know what i'm saying?

i still want to know why they are a

"MUST have for ALL DAWS"

are:

the "play" button
and "sequenzer window",

all other thing are
"good" to have, not must.

The problem of this gays are not the "bezier curves", the problem is:
"LOGIC have it...Cubas have it...."- this gays can not win in the "sequencer war" against cubas and logic users.
When Logic or cubas developer put dogshit in their sequencerbox, then this guys open new thread with the title:
"Ableton give us dogshit in the abletonlivebox, dogshit create good ambience for make music.^^

ok, I'm not sure what one's sexual preference has to do with it.

but anyway, my question still has not been answered.
the fact is that spline interpolation between automation points is a luxury, at best.
NOT a "MUST have for ALL DAWS"
let them go, they obviously have many aspects of the program to improve,
a luxury such as this should be down on the list, IMO.

When ableton would copy ALL features of ALL other DAWs in the market and built it in LIVE 10, i am sure, then this guy posted:

Live are overloadet shit, i go back to cubase or logic or samplitude.

True?
