[Share] Pitch Drop

Post by cbit » Fri Mar 19, 2010 8:24 pm

Here's a very simple, but potentially useful max for live device.

Pitch Drop emulates the effect of a turntable platter winding down. Incoming audio slows down to a stop at an adjustable rate.

Fair enough, don't register......

Not many places willing to host without advertising or making the downloader wait for a slot to become free, but then you makes your choice....

Ah! it's that old mischief maker; the high redefinition fallacy! This page is instructive: http://www.fallacyfiles.org/redefine.html

It was a bit of anthropomorphising: you're not causing mischief, but i believe that fallacy is.

Maxforlive.com is the most convenient way I've seen to host the devices I'd like to share. I don't have plans to upload the device elsewhere at the moment.

I'm not following this logic. Where is the cost? Putting an email into a field and hitting return? I agree that it "costs" slightly more than navigating to the website in the first place, but let's be reasonable shall we?

Dont' you get it, maaaan?

Maxforlive.com is a front for The Man, and you don't want The Man knowing your email address, do you? *DO YOU?*

hey, it's not like maxforlive.com is the best place to grab mfl devices, right? Oh... wait. It is.

there's no need to give out your regular email to register. You're all technically savvy enough to make a dummy spam-hungry email account, or indeed one of the many temporary throw away addresses available. Email registration (as has been mentioned) keeps bots from eating up bandwidth (that is paid for by the owner of the site, not through email spam; he's paying out of pocket, and wants to make sure that the money for the bandwidth isnt being wasted). The solution for spam is not to avoid email, its to be smart about what email address you give out. Capiche?
