Another reason to use Traktor. It marks the tracks you've already played which is great for any length set.
But if you're spinning Electro House nobody will really notice or care. There's only 7 known original Electro songs anyway.

damn you're right.....BUT you've given me an even better idea! maybe I can pay one of the dancing girls to keep track of which clips i've played? brilliant!3phase wrote:RCUS wrote:LOL! that might actually work for minimal!
i think my next set i will just pick one minimal track (preferably with a looping vocal of something being said in german), for 5 hours. that'll totally free up more time to drink beer and hit on the girls.
no good idea ..the girls will be too engaged in dancing than

i can't imagine having all of my tracks in the set to begin with. What a mess. how do you find the track you want to play then?

this is exactly what I'm saying I DON'T want to do. I think right now I may be leaning towards my method of saving clip states or Tarekiths empty track method. Going to try this out today and tomorrow. Basically I will need to take all my songs/clips, drop them into a live set, save all clip colors as white. Then when I'm playing, after I've mixed out of a song, I just need to save the already played song as any color. Four hours later, if I pick a colored clip I know it's been played. That's the best I can do for minimal prep time, not pre-selecting a set, not having to organize another separate folder, and not having to have all my clips in a set at once.leisuremuffin wrote:i can't imagine having all of my tracks in the set to begin with. Really wish there was a better way to approach this, but again it's not the end of the world if it were to happen, just a little lame.
