Using Live 6

Two MIDI mapping questions:
1) I understand how to scroll up and down between scenes, but how about scrolling left and right between tracks?
2) Can you map general controls (mute, arm, vol, etc.) just for the selected track/clip? Or do you really need to map individual CC's for every track? (just trying to save on buttons)
