Slow down clip

Post by DJTOYO » Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:54 am

I'm trying to make an intro in which i have some audio and then at the end. The end part i want to slow down...very slow. The most i can get ableton to go down is 999 but it's not slow enough. though i don't want to change the regular tempo. I've seen daft punk at alive do something where they slow down the word human robot so it's sort of un-distinguishable of what words are being said. wanting to do something like that. if there are any tricks to this please let me know. "[url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3Uc3BMdP9Y/url] here is the video the intro.

i was also wondering what the easiest way to have one track tempo at one BPM and the next at higher such as a 91bpm going to 130bpm. it starts at 91 and mid point shifts to 130bpm.

My two cents here.

You could simply automate the bpm line_ having your clip in complex (or complex pro) mode.
Then once you got what you need, render it to audio.

I always do that and it's the simpliest way.
If you want to play the slow down live, it's another situation.
Maybe using vst for doing so... don't really know for sure
