ok...apparently i suck at writing
yeah i know we dont make shit anymore on sales...which might be good or bad.
ok so... my original question was intended to see if one can make some cash from beatport directly. Like can i get enough to buy a plugin?...
but ok... we cant make cash, we need to be djs and beatport sucks other than beeing a huge ad-board... and thats that...

We all know why were curious. They are the trendsetters, if your release does well there, you get some acknowledgment. (Next release is going there for once for me!)
and with stats like these you cant blame us.

It really depends on the week. I've had some colleagues that were in the top ten and only made a 30 bucks. Other's charted another week and made considerably more.

we start by accepting the truth of the current world: Music has been marginalized to the point where it's perceived value is zero. As a result, it's only real value is it's marketing ability. If people love your music, you will make money via licensing it or performing it. The more you try to sell it, the less you'll actually succeed. So instead of "getting signed" (whatever the fuck that means), get your music out there via the web, and then get paid to perform it, or get it licensed to movies, commercials, or other productions.

I hate to piss on your chips but don't get carried away fella, you have only just started and like myself at the bottom rung of the ladder. Do music as a side line. Learn other genres too because electro has had its day and will fade fast.
