Hi,
When I render a track to disk using Reason as soundsource the first part of the bar is not recorded well. If I use normalizing (the setting in Live when Rendering) I see some noise at the beginning of the file as well, which shouldn't be there. That makes two bugs: normalising introduces extra noise on empty bars in Reason. And when rendering the first notes of the bar are not recorded.
To show you:
http://www.raapie.nl/bugs/live-rendering.gif
the m6-2 track is the Reason input rendered with normalising (the setting in Live when Rendering), with the rendering starting from the play position. From play 'till measure 3 you see the noise.
the m6 track is the Reason input rendered without normalising (the setting in Live when Rendering) starting recording from measure 3. As you can see the first few notes are only noise, because the attack should look like the attack of m6-2 which is exactly the same Reason source only without normalising and recorded with two extra measure in the beginning.
I think this is a serious bug when using Live in combination with Reason.

Rendering to Disk with Reason bug

render to disk w/Reason
I too have this problem. I also loose the first second or two of a mix When I actually record through a track set with a master out as an input. This problem virtually renders the program useless if I cant even get a mix out of it. I have been using Live since it came out. I just recieved Live 2, and I am just overwhelmed with all the bugs in this version. I love the program and am willing to work around a few glitches, but I experience this bug and a few of the others listed in the forum. Please help us.
Hi 'guest',
the problem you described seems to be totally different from the one described by Raapie. We know about the problem with rendering reason and we're currently work on that.
But you said that you just record from 'Master Out' and 'loose' up to 2 seconds.
I need more details about what exactly you're doing and in which way. Please try to seperate the terms 'recording' and 'rendering' in your description.
regards,
Alex

I believed I solved the Problem. Normally, a small portion of audio would be missing from the begining of my mixes, however This was due to my error. I had the trigger quantization set to "Bar", and when I would press record through a channel, it wouldnt start recording until the first bar was through playing. I never thought of this because I never had to do that in Version 1( at least not to my knowledge).
