Audio Kontrol 1 users?

I've got this really weird thing happening with my interface, where "creative" audio applications (Live, Reason and Traktor)
see output 1+2 as the main output pair, whereas in Itunes and VLC, I have to switch to outputs 3+4.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope, not here either. Have you checked your AK1 software? It could be assigning outputs based on a controller page setting...?

^^ I dunno; there's nothing audio related on the controller pages, is there? Only MIDI or key commands can be assigned there,
as far as I can tell, and all you can set on the driver page is latency and sample rate, and that stuff.

I had a similar (not exact) situation earlier this week. Go to AK1's little software interface thing, at the top make sure Monitor is just your 1 and 2.
In your Itunes or whatever, you probably have preference setting to indicate if you want AK1 to go to 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. I use FOOBAR2000 and I had to select which group of outs to use.

btw I have no idea why I mentioned the monitor 1/2, but I had to do that for my set up issue

PC, Windows Vista Home Premium.

I have never seen any audio preferences in Itunes, and now I couldn't find anything helpful in VLC either... Never had this
problem when I was using my M-Audio interface.

that soundcard for me was buggy as fuck. never got to the bottom of some of it's problems, so i sacked it in the end
