Xone 4D and navigating Session View

Hi guys,

I've been setting up my 4D to work with Live's session view and I've just got a few queries/issues.

Firstly, how do you recommend navigating around Live with a controller and minimal use of the laptop itself? I currently use a 4D and a launchpad. My session view is pretty full on and because I'm using it to DJ/remix live, I've got a ton of scenes to scroll through.

My first thought was to use one of the jog wheels, which was ok, but didnt really have the accuracy i needed. The second attempt used the continuous encoder above the jog wheel (right hand side). This was more accurate, but not as quick for moving around.

My problem is... When using either of these controls, it will bug out most of the time and just jump around in session view when moved. I did manage to get it working and just scroll scene by scene, but after re-mapping, it now jumps around. Does anyone know what would cause this?

Also, is there any other way you could recommend for fast and accurate scrolling of scenes and selecting of clips?

hey,
i use the 3d, which is more or less similar to the 4d except the colour. anyway, I use the endless knob right next to the jog wheel to scroll.. I find it ok, just takes some time getting used to i guess...
