Couple of questions about macbook pro

Hi,


When I unplug the Mac from the RME fireface or other soundcard and use internal drivers, do I need to manually change driver, like on PC?

On my PC gaming laptop I have subwoofer kind of and some ok speakers to reproduce bass, is the sound somewhat loud on macbook also?

Is filehandling somewhat more intuitive on mac than Windows 7? - Is it easier to customize to be fast to find samples etc on the harddrive.

I really like to work with the onboard mouse on the IBM thinkpads, on other laptops my fingers hurts a bit after a while, mainly because of the location of the mouse pad in regards to the keyboard I think, is this comfortable on the mac?

Is Live more unstable on Mac than Pc?

is the sound somewhat loud on macbook also?

I saw Nine Inch Nails play recently.
They were using the built in sound cards and speakers on their mac book pros and had no problem being heard by every one. The front of house sound guy basicly spent the whole gig reading house and garden and making sure his emo hair cut was perfect the whole time.

I think it depends on the application and maybe the interface. With Live and some standalone music applications you have to manually choose your interface from the preferences. If you turn off your interface while using Live it won't play in the external soundcard until you manually go in the preferences and change it. If I'm just using the Mac for other things or using Logic you can turn the interface on and off all day long and it just automatically detects and switches outputs for you.
