Lpk25 get whole keyboard to work on every octave in live?

Post by bxm » Mon Mar 29, 2010 11:20 pm

hi just picked up a lpk25. I am running Ableton 8.1.1 on Windows XP Lenovo t61 laptop. It should be plug and play, however when I plug it in and open ableton. I can not get a whole octave to work. So keys work some don't. One key seems to turn off and on the instrument that I am currently using. I do have a APC40 which I've had no problems. So I'm guessing it's the settings in Ableton. My only one guess which I'll check tonight is that I nay have kept the APC40 midi settings still up and it messing with the lpk25. Any help - thanks - bxm

Hi Bxm,

it should be enough to enable "track" (and "remote" for midi mapping) for the LPK´s input port in the Midi/Sync preferences to configure the LPK in Live. Please note that not all instrument will respond to the full range of available octaves by default.

This post might be a bit dated but in case someone else stumbles upon it.....

I got the full range of keys to work as simple MIDI notes by setting in Preferences\MIDI Sync the Input and Output to "LPK25" and Control Surface to "none". In MIDI ports "track" and "remote" to "on"......

Hope this helps
