Hey all, I am getting a retriggerish sound when triggering a pattern on my machinedrum from live .
as it passe's the 2 bar mark and returns to the start i gets like a extra kick drum sound on the first beat of the bar.
also if I record audio and zoom in (4 hits drawn into lives clips triggering machinedrum from live), the kick is miles away from the where it should be
do I need to mess with the delay comp, if so what parameters are needed and where do I set this up?
cheers
machinedrum, live, and delay compensation?
Re: machinedrum, live, and delay compensation?
In Live's midi preferences you can apply a sync offset to each midi output.

You might need to restart Live for those settings to take place too, I can't remember if they fixed that or not...

Re: machinedrum, live, and delay compensation?
just curious to see how much you would use and where do you apply it to, out or in? and what midi clock type do you suggest, song or pattern?
The input has a couple of parameters I am not quite sure about either, I know I need to use clock as opposed to time code, though I am not sure about the mtc start offset in conjunction with the midi clock sync delay?
cheers mate!

Re: machinedrum, live, and delay compensation?
Hey, im having the exact same problem triggering patterns through live 8. everytime the playback cursor moves over the midi note in the midi note editor (clip view) which i have set specifically(in the md's map editor) to change the pattern in the md, it makes a re-triggerish kick sound (as if the midi change message interupts the pattern during the first kick of the next bar) no matter how much i adjust the midi sync delay offset. My audio buffer size is as low as can be and delay compensation was set using abletons tutorial but i still can't figure out what is wrong!!!
Any suggestions people?
cheers
