after hearing your problem, only advice i can give is to choose a soundcard with balanced outputs! and then to use a balanced cable between the KRK monitors and the soundcard, so you have a truly balanced connection between them, that should get rid of your problem.
maybe a used presonus firebox or echo audiofire4 card? checking e-bay for one of those...?

not out of my head, the ones i know are then with non balanced outs... M-audio might have something, but i don't know all gear existing, you know...
i would need to have a look around myself. but will do, if i find a minute, but i am sure someone around here knows a card with balanced outs around 200 euros.
