MPD 32 Troubles

So I have been having alot of trouble configuring my MPD 32 to work with Live 8. The pads work fine, but every time i try to map one of the knobs or faders to anything within Live it just won't work. Live shows that it is receiving midi data whenever i move a slider or knob, it just won't alot me to map any control to that. Ive tried creating my own presets on the MPD and assigning pretty much every different control channel to each knob and slider to no avail. help would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you turn on the Remote button for the MPD32 MIDI Input. You need it on for Live to use incoming CCs for MIDI mapping.
