Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
Ability to save the Info View Text with each Clip as part of the saved data in the associated .asd file.
While you can edit the text in the Info View window, Live does not save this text in the .asd file for the clip.
Example:
1. write some text in the Info text window.
2. save the clip.
3. drag the clip to your session from the browser.
4. the info you wrote is gone.
It would be good to have a way to keep text-based info with each clip.

BETTER BOUNCING CAPABILITES
Highlight a section of your song in the arrange window, right click it, and select bounce to audio. A new audio track is created with a render of selected material in the same position of the arrangement. It would be great if it could span multiple tracks, and perfectly adequate if it could only do one at a time. This would be much better than having to freeze the entire track, and the flatten it, and much quicker then setting up a recording.
Thank you!

I think I saw it in Sonar on a youtube video, but it looked like multiple tracks were available on the piano roll. I could see that being very useful when arranging. And different MIDI CCs available down where the velocity is, selectable via menu. I liked that.
I don't 'produce.' I write music.
Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
Hi guys,
i bet it has been posted somewhere already but I do have a huge request that I am missing in Ableton Live really bad and I couldn't yet find this feature:
Give us a rating and keyword system for the library!
Yes, that's right. Let's make it exactly as in itunes.
- With little "stars" from *---- to ***** we can rate the samples that we like (useful for drumsamples)
- With keywords of all kind we can link our samples to "emotional" or "descriptive" senses. It would help a lot finding the right sound for a production. There should be unlimited numbers of keywords to freely play around and they should export as metadata when exporting a sample or distributing it to other people.
- Maybe you might even consider updating the library browser to support intelligent groups (see itunes) that are basically nothing more than filtered search results, stored in a virtual group.
In one phrase: I'd like to treat my sample- instrument- and FX- library exactly the way I organize music in itunes and photos in iphoto - it's simply the best way to find things fast and (what might be even more important) people are used to this way of organizing stuff.

sidechaining macrcontrols in racks. this way you could assign a macrocontrol to any parameter (ex: filter of a synth) and sidechain it, and if you want to go nuts you assign macrocontrol to various parameters and make some far out sidechain effects

MIDI Shortcuts... multiple midi notes heard at the same time produce a new function
Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
The request has already be made into the Clips category, however I suggest something that look like this:

http://bayimg.com/GaLeBAack
Select the part of the grid you want to color, then right click and choose your color.
This will help for Dj sets or even with long loops.
Other requests already made but I confirm their importance for me:
-color warp marker
-group group track
-Dual Screen support, but not one session and other arrangement, I prefer on Session/arrangement+browser and the other with the detail+clip effects+clip overview.
-disable a track/group + disable midi/keyboard shortcuts on the track/group
other requests (not sure these have been made already):
-Be able to have an audio effect rack on the group that can map from all the other effects inside the group.
-Be able to use the step sequencer (Impluse/Drumrack or even any midi clip) on a midi controller (launchpad/lemur you name it).
-When adding a set from the browser, load the midi and keyboard settings with it. Duplicate can be sort out with the disable midi on track/group.
-Be able to open more than one live set at a time. To do that (on a Mac) I need to use "open -na live" in the Terminal and its painful. Also improve the sync these different live-sets, because using IAC Driver doesn't provide a perfect solution (try it you'll see what I mean, the midi clock isn't stable).

Amplitude Modulator!
Currently I use the Autopan for this purpose by turning the phasing all the way down but it would be so much nicer to have a dedicated Amplitude Modulator with a fully adjustable LFO envelope with break points. Kinda like the one in Acid Pro (if anyone here is familiar with Sony plugins).

... ability to include text in projects please:
1. Flip-out Note Pad for each project
2. Text Tracks along timeline, the length of the project, for specific place notes and lyrics

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
I would like the old popup quantize dialogue box back.
Edit: nevermind, I discovered it never went away, it just changed keyboard shortcut to ctrl+shift+u
Edit 2: Just saw the initial posts - damn that's a lot of wishes! I wish for stability first and foremost - but second on my wishlist (as mentioned) is definitely an LFO Device which works with *all* device and VST parameters. Just imagine how insanely cool that would be! The same LFO controlling multiple parameters of different devices, multiple LFOs controlling one parameter, LFO-controlled racks!!

Re: GENERAL - GUI - BROWSER
a big detachable and floating counter also with Timecode SMPTE features (as requested by Entelechia)
Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
- Videoclips should be able to play in session view like they do in arrangement view.
- Beat repeat: It would be nice to have a "reverse" button reversing the repeated slice.
