Separate Subgroup/Monitor Mixes?

Post by tehJESSEH » Fri Apr 02, 2010 11:45 pm

Hey guys,

So I have been trying to find this by myself for a very, very long time. Either I have absolutely no clue what I am looking for, it doesn't exist, or I haven't looked hard enough.

I'm using Ableton Live Suite 8. Is there any way to send separate tracks to different subgroups, separate from the master track? Specifically I'm trying to send only one specific track (guitar/vox) to my Korg Kaoss Pad 2, then send the effected mix back into Ableton onto a separate track, while the rest of the band is still playing.

How do I do this?

Thanks!

- Jesse

Have a return channel go out to External Source instead of to the Master. Then you can feed anything you want into it as its own summed channel using the Send knobs.
