Drum Map Clip Editor

Can anybody please tell me if there's a way to make the standard midi clip editor into a drum map or even apply the "slices view" of the editor to a "normal" midi clip?

I'm using Audiorealsism drum machine and find the standard piano roll uncomplimentary when inputting drum notes. I'd rather use the ableton clips than the built in ADM step sequences for general work flow and syncing groove preferences etc.
