any girls/women using ableton ?

Post by waldo » Wed Apr 06, 2005 10:31 pm

been around the board a bit for the last year or so , it seems that this abletonforum is almost a stricktly male get together,

so i was wondering , are there any girls using this fine programm ?

I for one think that Live is more women friendly then Cubase/Logic.

I'm one of the girls but not a regular poster. I've been using Live for a couple of years. I mostly read the threads for information and laughs.

I write a lot of music with Live I just haven't gotten to the point of posting any of it. I also use Reason and ProTools, I find that these three softs are enough for me to get the job done although I do find myself coveting all kinds of gear and stuff. I won't be upgrading anything anytime soon except for my cello.
It would be cool if I knew more women that were into music gear and shoes!

there were females at the Indy Ableton Live User Group meeting yesterday. so i'd say yes women are using Live.

and Live is more friendly an application than cubase/logic for BOTH MEN AND WOMEN.

Hm:
[.we need to know loneliness to be creative]
Maybe. And to really know loneliness, you must at least once have been embraced with love...

I showed my girl Ableton one night. We started making a song together and ten minutes into it I was just sitting back and watching as she was dropping in effects on the fly and automating everything.

She was tearing it up.

It was cool.
