just saw this:
http://www.shapeservices.com/en/product ... orm=iphone
if we had multi-monitor support, how easy would it be to detach and drag the clip grid to the ipad screen and zoom it up a few percent? or build your own control interface in max for live...or bank of faders resized to fit the ipad screen...or...etc. etc. skip all the third party business and work directly with ableton on two screens, one of which is multitouch. sounds easy to me, am i missing something?
ableton dual monitor support = clip grid on ipad?

That's very cool, even if only for VST interfaces. I might have to spend the $4.99 and give it a shot.

That application is pretty disappointing, I tried it on day one, and it displays fine, but to actually use it to trigger things in Live is miserable. Latency was godawful, etc.
Logmein ignition does it pretty good though, and that wormhole remote app looked promising.

Thanks for the post, Landwhale. Saves me some time. (And 5 bucks!)

No problem. I'd like my 5 bucks back too
I'd already been using logmein on my iPhone to control my work computers, and it works reasonably well for controlling live, but using Touch OSC is exactly 100 times better.

I'd be interested in some free stuff that's worth it before i plop down 500 bucks for the ipad.
