It wasn't as simple as I thought it would be.. a little help

I've had a korg triton and a roland mc 307 for quite a while now, they are plugged into a yamaha pro mix 01 along with a couple of turntables.
I've just bought live and a maudio firewire 410.
My plan was to
Use live as a master, the 307 and the korg as slaves, all running into the pro mix 01, with the digital coax output of the promix running into the 410 and recording the result into wavelab.

My first problem is that I can't get the 307 to send the midiclock through to the korg(I have contacted roland about this)no reply yet
Second problem was the sync delay which somebody has helped me with
THird problem is that I cant seem to get the 410 set up to recieve the digital out of the promix 01, it recieves the anolog signal fine, but does strange things when I select external coaxial in the mixer hardware page.

I contacted m audio too but still haven't got a reply.

Does anyone have any ideas for me to fix these probs, or maybe a better way to set it all up?

Do you have experience with digital i/o?
I Thought there were some master/slave issues you shouldn't neglect , but I assume if you've used digital i/o before that won't be the problem.

no real experience with digital i/o
sorted out the midi problem with a thru box and someone suggested around -37ms sync delay which is nearly there
