Nice find! I stumbled on this about a year ago, but completely forgot about it.

I work a lot with Live though, and it hasn't really been a problem to me. And cacti: 8.1 and above hasn't crashed by any able-bugs I know of. But it has crashed from a few of my own "bugs" though. Overheating hardware, etc. But that's another topic.
