session drums multi mike kits

I was using the multi mike brush kit on a current track, I don't usually use the multi mike kits but it sounded good so I thought here we go. Everything was fine adjusting the room mikes and close mikes for different drums till you get the desired sound but the overhead mikes and the close mikes do not appear as faders in the drums mixer and even if you mute all the drums you still get the bleed coming through the mikes and there seems no way to control the overall level of the overheads and close mikes for the whole kit without really messing around. I must be missing something but I would have thought there must be some way of controling the overall level of the room and the close mikes against the actual sounds of the kit easily.

Or to put it another way is there no overall level faders for all the close, overhead, room and snare bottom mikes, or do you have to adjust every single one to slightly change the room? Also if you mute the kit you still hear the bleed through the mikes, where would you turn that off?
