arpegiator?

is there any good midi plugin to create an arpegiator in live (operator)-
would nt even know hw it works. im just drawing notes in different octaves it kinda sucks.

do randoms like you are but put a scale plug (ableton midi device) in front to confine it to whatever key you like
the results can be very pleasing

try this

just install midiyoke and activate the midi inputs and outputs in your lives prefs , then have two midi tracks , one with input from keyboard etc then the output going to midiyoke 1 , then in the Arp -x8 program, change the midi input to midiyoke1 and the output to midiyoke2 , then in live drop your synth on the second midi track and recieve the midi from midiyoke2 and have the monitor switched to on. click the run button down the bottom right of the Arp-x8 program, then play ur keybaord and presto...

Without using an enviroment that loads in Live (like Energy), or an arp built into a VST synth, or using an arp that resides externally from Live (like a software one mentioned, or a hardware one), Live can't use an arp.

It doesn't route midi data from one plug to the other.

We are all crossing our fingers for this feature, it has been hinted at several times.

I would arp via Midi Joke and Plugue Bidule.
Good thing is you may do lots of other things with the midi then just arping it.
But thats probably not what you want..?
