Stylus .dat file where do I put for dual apps access

Hi,
I am using Stylus and Atmosphere in both protools and Live. How do I get these instruments to work in both PT and Live without moving the .dat file to the respective apps plugin folder each time I want to use in that application? I thought of duplicating the .dat files but they are way too big and I tried aliasing but I couldn't get it to work.

Where you put the dat file should be irrelevant. It's where you put the dll that matters...
