Dual 2.26 Intel can't handle Live?
Dual 2.26 Intel can't handle Live?
I've got a MacBook Pro 2.26 Dual Core, 2 GB RAM, and I'm using Live 5.05. The problem is, apparently the computer can't even handle running the sample track that comes with the processors, and can't even handle me recording some simple guitar and putting a midi beat on top of it- the processor capacity rockets up to a 100%! Now I have a PC with the same specs and it runs perfect. Anyone know whats up? Thanks in advance.

Re: Dual 2.26 Intel can't handle Live?
is it Live version 5.05?? - it's a pretty old version if it is, released pre Intel macs, if so, it may not have the ability to run on an intel mac.. (will be running under Rosetta if it is, which significantly decreases performance)
Livesuite8.(insert latest update no.here)|Mac Pro|MBP 2.8core2duo|Motu828v3|APC40|Akai MPK25|BCF2000|whole bunch of mic's&mixers&cables&crap|nowhere near enough time to play with it all
Re: Dual 2.26 Intel can't handle Live?
Like the last reply wrote it's probably a Rosetta issue.
I'm running Live 7 on the same MBP as the OP with zero issues.
