SHOULD I GO USB WITH AN MBOX OR
FIREWIRE WITH AN M-AUDIO BOX?
I JUST NEED TO RECORD GUITARS AND VOCALS. HAVING THE MBOX I WOULD REALLY LIKE BEING ABLE TO RECORD DRUMS IN ANOTHER STUDIO AND BE ABLE TO OPEN THAT SAME SESSION WITH THE MBOX IN PROTOOLS AND THEN REWIRE INTO LIVE.
IS THE MBOX WORTH IT ?
M=AUDIO VS. MBOX

Yea,
If you price it out the M-audio hardware + the price of the M-powered Protools looks to be a little more expensive than buying the digidesign equivalent (eg MBox or 002). If you already had a M-audio interface the protools software might be the go for you.
On a note if you are only recording 2 channels at a time the m-box will be enough for you but if you want to multitrack get a firewire interface...you won't regret it, also consider the motu firewire interfaces, several friends have them and are more than happy
