wich keyboard is your favourite
wich keyboard is your favourite
Hi Freaks,
i'm having keyboard lessons for a couple of month now
and like you know i need to practice.
I only have an Oxygen 8 and 25 keys is not enough.
So i think about at least 61 or maybe even 88 keys.
The keystation 88 pro is really nice but a bit too expensive
and a bit to big for my room.
So i think about the keystation 61.
It has halfweighted keys.
Is the difference to the oxygen 8 big when you play?
Is it good enough for practicing cause at my lessons i'm playing a real piano.
Or can anyone reccomened me anything else?
Thank you and peace out

Thanx for your reply Jamm.
But this one is a synth as well isn't it?
I'm looking for a pure masterkeyboard and
very important is that it is good to play.
Anyway thank you!
Has anyone experience in playing a semiweight keys
Keyboard.
The difference to a oxygen 8 for instance?

can anyone recomend m-audio's keystation 88 or 61
with semi weighted keys?
with semi weighted keys?
well, iam a semi-pro in keyboard, but i got the ks88 recently and believe me, now i feel like a true "PRO".
of course its too big for my room, but it gives me whatever i want. it makes me feel im "doing" something.
if you wana go to a 61keys, go for a hardware synthesizer as most 61key midi controllers were designed for guys who like to jus trigger those sounds they map with software. no keyboardist will be happy with 61keys like ive never been with my old yamaha psr520.
get the ks88 if you are serious into playing keyboard like mad.
but if you are content with using two or three fingers to play some tones or trigger patches or some sounds, jus be good enough with Oxygen and no more,
hope im right.

Hi Viz,
yes i'm more interested in real playing not just triggering.
The KS 88 you are talking about.
Is it a M-Audio?

Thanx Viz,
The KS Pro is too expensive and too and too big for me.
So if you say the KS 88 is cool i'm going to check it out!

I have a Novation ReMote 25. It's the most intelligent midi controller kbd around. The keyboard action is very nice for a non-weighted action (I play piano too) so I'd recommend checking out the new ReMote 49 and 61. Same controller with 4 and 5 octaves respectively.

I heard the KEYSTATION PRO 88 has a very slow USB-midi response. is this purely a driver issue or a controller-problem (USB-controller on the KEYSTATION) as far as you know?
